Getting to Know Your Overlocker is a relaxed, beginner-friendly session designed to help you understand what your overlocker actually does, how to use it with confidence, and how it can make your sewing projects look beautifully finished.

No jargon. No pressure. Just clear explanations, hands-on learning, and plenty of time to ask questions.

• You own an overlocker but aren’t quite sure where to start

• You’ve threaded it once… and vowed never to do it again

• You want neater seams and more professional finishes

• You’ve learned to sew and feel ready for the next step

🧵 What we’ll cover:

• What an overlocker does (and when to use it instead of a sewing machine)

• Understanding the parts of your machine

• Threading without fear

• Tension basics explained simply

• Common stitches and what they’re best used for

• Troubleshooting the most common issues

• Tips for using your overlocker confidently at home

This is very much a confidence-building session. You don’t need to know everything when you arrive.

• The manual if you have it 

• Thread (4 different colours - i have thread if you dont)

I’ll provide fabric to practise on and guide you step by step.
